Power AAPI Women

AAPI women are leading our community.

Yet AAPI women and women of color are gravely underrepresented in elected office, and face gender-based obstacles and misogyny that prevent them from running or pursuing higher office once elected.

Asian Americans currently hold no governorships, make up only 3% of Congress and account for just 1% of all elected office holders - and the numbers are even lower for AAPI women. Specifically, Asian American women are 3.7% of the total population but only 1.9% of Congress and 1.3% of statewide elected office holders.

Now we need AAPI women in office.

We are seeding Power AAPI Women to build stronger links within the current ecosystem to support AAPI feminists run, win, and govern.
